Chill is a book about emotions with stories, tips and facts to help children understand what they feel.
Chill is a collaboration between Milouska Meulens, Meike Meinhardt and Maruga Koops. Published in May 2026 by Volt publishers.
For this project Maruga worked mainly with colored pencils and used textured backgrounds she created with a Gelli-printing plate. After drawing and coloring she edited the illustrations digitally.
The mixed technique gives the illustrations a handmade, tactile quality that fits the warmth of the subject.
